A 1:700 scale waterline plastic model of the USS Quincy (CA-39), designed as a compact cruiser kit intended for display builds that require accurate external appearance and painting options.
The New Orleans class were treaty-era heavy cruisers constructed in the interwar years and saw wide service during World War II. They displaced roughly 10,000 tons standard and over 12,000 tons at full load once wartime additions were fitted. The class underwent multiple refits to enhance radar and anti-aircraft capability and took part in major Pacific engagements, accumulating battle honors during operations against Japan.
The kit reproduces the ship as a waterline cruiser in MS 12 Modified Camouflage and places emphasis on external fittings and silhouette. Construction proceeds with conventional sub-assembly of hull halves, decks, and superstructure; sprues are spread across several frames and a separate waterline plate is supplied. A decal sheet provides the specified markings for the ship.
A compact 1:700 waterline cruiser kit that provides a paint- and decal-friendly New Orleans class subject with a simplified upper-hull assembly for neat finishing.
