The Trumpeter 05751 model reproduces the French battleship Richelieu as seen in 1946, providing scale modellers with a faithful representation of a ship that saw both conflict and refit during World War II. The Richelieu's service included early action at Dakar and later operations with Allied forces.
After engagements with British units at Dakar, Richelieu joined Allied operations in 1942 and underwent a major refit in 1943 at Brooklyn Navy Yard. That overhaul improved radar and anti-aircraft armament, replacing older guns with Bofors and Oerlikon weapons. She later took part in northern and Far East operations by 1944.
Available in both waterline and full hull formats, this 1:700 kit contains 370 plastic elements that deliver fine detail across the decks and superstructure. The completed model measures 355.5 mm long and 48.5 mm wide, offering a compact but detailed display piece for naval collections.
