This is a 1/700 scale injection-moulded plastic kit representing the Royal Navy battlecruiser HMS Renown in her 1942 wartime configuration, supplied as a multi-piece assembly set for model construction.
The Renown class comprised two British battlecruisers first conceived as modified Revenge-class battleships. They were lengthened and altered to accommodate three main turrets and reduced armor to reduce build time, entering service after the Battle of Jutland era. Both ships had active wartime service; HMS Repulse was sunk by Japanese aircraft in December 1941, while HMS Renown survived and was dismantled in 1948.
The kit shows the 1942 profile and is provided as an injection-moulded multi-part set. Listed specifications include an overall model length of 346 mm, beam of 44.6 mm, and a parts count of 288 plastic pieces. The packaging reflects the box dimensions and the kit is aimed at modellers who prioritise deck and superstructure accuracy and wartime fittings.
A compact, display-ready plastic assembly kit that faithfully reproduces the 1942 appearance of HMS Renown for collectors and scratchbuilders.
