This 1:72 scale plastic model represents the Japanese Type 90 main battle tank and is intended as a small static assembly for display in military modelling collections.
The Type 90 traces back to development work starting in 1974, originally designated TK-X. Prototype and trial production activity occurred in the 1980s, with the design finalized around 1990 and subsequent service entry reflecting post-Cold War armour development.
The kit captures the vehicle at 1:72 scale using injection-moulded sprues, with a total of 149 plastic parts split across nine sprues. Major hull and turret forms are provided and smaller fittings are supplied as separate components. Decal options for two unit variants are included in the box as specified below.
At 1:72 the model is best suited to static display on small bases or within grouped dioramas. The supplied overall dimensions make it practical for cabinet display. For enhanced realism some builders choose aftermarket photo-etch or resin upgrades while others complete a fine representation using only the kit parts.
An effective small-scale Type 90 kit offering a manageable parts count and included unit decals, suitable for diorama builders and collectors.
