This 1:72 scale plastic kit captures the Henschel-production German Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger and is intended for hobbyists and collectors who enjoy compact armour subjects with visible suspension detail.
The Jagdtiger originated in early 1943 as a heavy tank destroyer concept optimized for engaging armoured targets at distance. A wooden mock-up was displayed in October 1943. Two prototype suspension schemes were completed by February 1944: the Porsche-sprung arrangement with eight roadwheels and the Henschel-sprung solution with nine roadwheels. The design was initially called Jagdpanzer VI and later known as the Jagdtiger with the Sd.Kfz.186 designation. Production was limited and intermittent from mid-1944 due to competing priorities.
The kit information below refers only to the supplied components. It recreates the external profile and Henschel nine-roadwheel suspension for the production variant at 1:72 scale. Parts count and sprue layout are included, and decals are provided for a three-colour German camouflage finish. Builders should use reference images to guide paint tones and weathering techniques.
A small but detailed Jagdtiger kit representing the Henschel-production suspension and offering a three-color decal option; well suited to painting and weathering practice at 1:72 scale.
