The M1 Panther II is a specialised mine-clearing adaptation of the M1 Abrams heavy armour family. Trumpeter's 1:72 model reproduces the vehicle form and clearance fittings for hobbyists focused on military subjects and operational realism.
As a field tool the Panther II uses ploughs and rollers to neutralise mines and create safe lanes. With an approximate mass of 43 tons, it can process large minefields rapidly, with clearance performance reported up to 5,000 square metres per hour under suitable conditions.
The assembled miniature is 147.75 mm long, 61.28 mm wide and 52.7 mm tall, offering a tidy scale presence on any shelf. The box contains 91 plastic components, laid out on four sprues plus separate lower and upper hull elements and two strip rubber tracks for authentic tread appearance.
