This scale V8 LS3 style radiator is made for TRAXXAS TRX-4 Defender trail builds, combining an aluminium main body, stainless-steel components and a black heat-resistant ABS cover plus exhaust. The assembly includes a high-speed cooling fan fitted with a welded temperature sensor for automatic on/off control.
Fit and hardware: dimensions are 52mm x 63mm x 71mm and the part is designed to occupy the motor area. To fit on a TRX-4 Defender the stock manifold must be removed to create clearance and the crossbar on the body post trimmed so the intake lines up. When relocating the engine to the front the radiator can be secured to the damper mount and fender but may require a flat-style front damper mount such as TRX4028 or an equivalent flat mount to clear both left and right manifolds.
Performance notes: the welded sensor turns the fan on at roughly 35C and off at about 25C with +/-5C tolerance for each point, and the fan achieves about 3.25 CFM airflow (+/-10%). The welded sensor and fan are supplied as a single integrated switching unit.
A scale-accurate radiator with active thermal control for TRX-4 Defender conversions; plan mount and manifold changes to ensure proper clearance before final fitting.
