This is an RC-scale replacement outer portal drive housing made for Traxxas TRX-4 vehicles and offered by JAZRIDER as model JR-TRX406-BK. It is supplied as a front/rear portal housing in black machined aluminum, aimed at scale and trail crawler builds where metal housings are used to improve performance.
As a tuning component, the aluminium housing helps lock the portal mounting face in place to reduce movement that can misalign axles under torque. That stability can be beneficial when fitting reinforced driveline parts or upgrading to heavier portal gears.
Fitting guidance: remove the wheel, unbolt the existing outer portal housing following your TRX-4 service routine, move over any bearings or seals from the factory part if needed, then mount the JAZRIDER aluminium housing and secure using the original fasteners. Confirm free rotation and alignment before fully tightening hardware. Standard hand tools are normally sufficient.
