This alloy middle driveshaft joint is an aftermarket replacement suitable for Tamiya TT02 series chassis. It replaces a worn centre coupling to reduce transmission play and restore correct driveshaft alignment.
Fitting is straightforward: remove the centre driveshaft section on the TT02/TT02B, examine bearings and splines for wear, fit the coupling in the right orientation and secure fasteners to standard hobby torque. Only common hobby tools are required.
As a maintenance and incremental-performance component, the joint keeps drivetrain geometry stable for repeated track runs rather than providing a major power increase.
