This aftermarket large bevel gear set comes as two pieces and is intended for installation in Tamiya TT02 and TT02B chassis as a 1/10 scale drivetrain component. It replaces the original bevel gear where a hardened steel option is wanted for increased service life.
In the TT02 gearbox the large bevel gear transmits drive from the pinion and spur assembly into the differential and wheels; moving to steel alters both durability and drivetrain feedback. When installing follow TT02 teardown guidance, confirm gear mesh with the pinion, inspect bearings and mating components, and apply suitable differential and gear lubricant before running.
Use this gear set for scheduled maintenance or moderate durability upgrades, and be aware that steel-on-plastic contact can speed wear on nearby plastic parts if bearings or alignment are compromised.
