1/12 Race Chassis Support Brace

This graphite chassis brace is designed as an accessory for 1/12 competition cars, compatible with the Yokomo YR-X12 chassis family. It is intended to reinforce the chassis and allow tuning of stiffness without needing a replacement main plate.

Installation is aimed at hobbyists used to 1/12 touring car maintenance: the brace attaches to existing factory locations on YR-X12 and YR-X1219 chassis and uses the vehicle's original fasteners. Additional hardware is not normally required, so keep your stock screws and mounting pieces for fitting.

As a tuning item the brace lowers torsional flex and alters weight transfer behavior; fine adjustments to stiffness via braces like this can influence front end traction, balance through the middle of the corner and initial responses. Make changes incrementally on the track to properly assess impact.

Compatibility

  • Yokomo YR-X12
  • Yokomo YR-X1219
Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. The brace is built to fit the factory mounting holes on YR-X12 and YR-X1219 chassis, so no drilling should be necessary for standard installs.
Manufactured from graphite, the brace offers a strong, lightweight reinforcement that resists fatigue in normal competition use. Durability depends on crash exposure and handling.
Graphite is light, so weight change is minimal compared with larger aluminium braces; the main effect is increased stiffness rather than substantial mass change.
