Low-profile machined screws for improved deck clearance

The MS-SSA20 screw set targets MS2.0 aluminium chassis builds where plate thickness and nearby component clearance are important. With the MS2.0 using a 1.5mm plate to enable chassis flex, conventional 90-degree flat head screws can protrude and risk contacting adjacent parts.

These screws use a 120-degree tapered head to seat deeper in countersinks, reducing protrusion above the deck while keeping parts clamped reliably. Precision machining tightens tolerances across the set, helping maintain repeatable assembly geometry and predictable handling on high-traction surfaces such as carpet.

A single set contains the typical lengths for one MS2.0 assembly so you can avoid mixing different head profiles during build or setup, which simplifies measurement of deck clearance and chassis flatness when tuning.

Specifications

  • Item: High-precision machined steel screw set
  • Material: Steel
  • Model Number: MS-SSA20
  • Head angle: 120-degree tapered head
  • Sizes: M3 x 6mm (17 pcs), M3 x 8mm (14 pcs), total 31 pcs
  • Compatibility: MS2.0 aluminium chassis, supported chassis MSR-020A / MSR-020

Install this kit when building or servicing an MS2.0 aluminium chassis to standardize head geometry and prevent top-side interference that could change component placement or chassis behaviour.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. Using consistent 120-degree heads reduces top-side protrusion and helps you get repeatable deck clearance and chassis flatness readings during setup and tuning.
Mixing head profiles is not recommended if you measure deck clearance or chassis flatness, since different tapers change how far screws sit above the deck. Use a full set to keep geometry consistent.
The set supplies 31 screws: 17 M3 x 6mm and 14 M3 x 8mm, which are the common lengths required for a single MS2.0 aluminium chassis build.
