Scale Painting: Nakajima Green Aerosol

This Mr.Hobby GSI-S15 Mr. Color aerosol is formulated to recreate the IJN green seen on Nakajima models and is intended for scale RC model finishing and fine detail work rather than any real-world application.

Before spraying, clean parts thoroughly to remove dust, oils, and flashing. For plastic components always test paint on a spare sprue or concealed area to ensure adhesion and tone. Protect surrounding areas with modelling tape and paper to prevent overspray migration.

Shooting technique: mix the can by shaking, then apply multiple light passes to build colour, allowing proper flash-off between layers to avoid runs. Keep the spray motion steady and maintain an even distance for a smooth finish. Operate in a ventilated space and follow safety guidance for aerosol use.

Finishing notes: for scale-accurate results apply a compatible primer where necessary before the base coat, then use panel-line washes and choose matt or satin clears to match the desired sheen once the green is fully cured. Always trial weathering and topcoats on a test piece to confirm compatibility.
