Pulley Stopper Details

The YZ-630W3 stopper is machined from aluminium to secure the center pulley on Works'91 TeamSpec configurations, supplied by Yokomo as a replacement for affected center pulley parts. It is specified for use with remote-controlled touring chassis only.

This component is compatible with the Works'91 TeamSpec platforms listed by the manufacturer and aligns with the center pulley mounting points on supported YZ series frames. Its function is to hold the pulley in position under belt load and while the suspension travels, helping to retain belt tracking during operation.

Installation follows standard belt-drive procedures: remove the existing stopper, position the YZ-630W3 in the factory location, then confirm smooth pulley rotation and correct belt alignment before use. During setup check for any play and retighten fasteners according to the chassis manufacturer's torque recommendations.

Tuning note: while the stopper does not increase power, it supports consistent drivetrain behaviour by keeping pulley location repeatable, which can stabilise belt tension for finer setup work.

Compatible Models

  • YZ-W91TS
  • YZ-W91
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The stopper helps keep pulley location consistent, which stabilises belt tension and can lead to more predictable drivetrain response, but it does not increase power.
After fitting the YZ-630W3, spin the pulley by hand and inspect belt tracking; make small adjustments and recheck play before running.
Follow the chassis manufacturer's recommended torque values when tightening fasteners to ensure secure fitment without overloading threads.
