X4 Aluminium Steering Upgrade

The XRAY 302242 X4 aluminium hub is a CNC-machined, lightweight steering block made from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and finished with black anodizing. It is a direct replacement for the standard composite hubs and is intended specifically for 1:10 scale X4 series cars used in high-grip track conditions.

Aluminium hubs reduce flex relative to the factory composite parts, which improves steering consistency and makes setup changes more repeatable. The component is aimed at racers chasing stable handling and predictable response.

A universal design allows the same hub to be used at each corner with appropriate extensions for front or rear locations. The hub supports full axle-height adjustment so you can tune suspension geometry across surfaces. Carbon front steering plates and rear ARS plates mount depending on wheelbase and installation.

Note: because the aluminium hub sits lower than the kit composite hub, add 2.0mm of additional shimming to restore the original upper arm height above the hub when swapping parts.

Yes. Expect a firmer feel with reduced flex, which often translates to crisper turn-in and more consistent cornering on high-grip tracks.
Plan to add about 2.0mm of shim to return the upper arm to its original height, then re-check toe and camber settings as needed.
Yes. Carbon front steering plates and rear ARS plates can be mounted to the hub depending on wheelbase and placement requirements.
It is a direct replacement for the kit hub pattern, though you will need to fit the supplied extensions and shims to match original geometry.
