Drivers wanting crisper handling on fast circuits can fit the 59mm ECS BB drive shafts to the XRAY X4. Built from Hudy Spring Steel and supplied as a two-piece set, they aim to lower drivetrain drag and stabilise steering through sustained turns.
Compared with blade-style driveshafts, the ECS BB configuration reduces contact friction between the shaft and outdrive. You will notice smoother reactions when changing direction quickly, and stronger steering influence through the middle and exit of corners. Initial steering bite can be slightly reduced relative to shorter shafts.
Upkeep is easy: assemble following standard ECS procedures and add Hudy Joint Grease (106213) between the small bearings and the outdrives. Regular greasing and checks will help prevent accelerated wear.
