The XRAY 305998 Narrow Pinion is produced using a precision-modified gear cutter to achieve very tight tolerances and high concentricity. Tooth edges are chamfered and a protective hardcoat is applied to boost resistance to wear while keeping the tooth form true.

Designed to trim rotating mass

Fabricated from aircraft-grade duraluminum, this pinion is 1.5mm narrower and roughly 25 percent lighter than standard parts, helping improve acceleration and lowering drivetrain inertia. Pairing it with XRAY spur gears helps reduce audible drivetrain noise.

Works well with common 64 pitch spurs

Whether as an upgrade or a service replacement, the XRAY 305998 fits a variety of 64 pitch spur gears and supports consistent engagement under typical racing loads. It is suited to competitive 1/10 on-road applications where precise gear mesh matters.
