Will this change my gear mesh settings?

Gear mesh should be checked after installation but the plate itself does not alter gear spacing. Recheck pinion and spur alignment when fitting the adapter.

Are there tuning tips for different surfaces?

On loose dirt, back off slipper preload for smoother exits; on higher grip, increase preload for firmer engagement. Make small changes and test progressively.

Does the plate require break-in?

A short bedding-in period under light loads helps mating surfaces settle. After initial runs, recheck settings and inspect for any unusual wear.
