No special tools are required beyond standard clutch service tools; follow normal disassembly and reassembly procedures and check fitment with the #338571 disc if using a standard clutch.
Expect a firmer, more predictable engagement with reduced slip, which helps with throttle control exiting slow corners and on high-grip surfaces.
Replace the shoe when material thickness diminishes noticeably, engagement becomes inconsistent, or you detect scoring or glazing that affects grip.
