Stiffer baseplate with the XRAY 341102 5mm Swiss chassis

The XRAY 341102 aluminum chassis is CNC machined from 5mm Swiss 7075 T6 to provide a sturdy, lightweight foundation. It targets improved steering feel and easier handling setup for RX Series vintage cars.

Wider front for reduced twitch

An expanded front section improves stability and reduces nervous steering. The chassis has machined grooves for versatile engine placement, supporting both standard and compact 2-speed gear layouts. The revised front middle shaft mount and two servo saver holes make Ackermann tuning quick and repeatable.

Targeted machining for balanced rigidity

Cutting is concentrated in areas that see low loads so the chassis keeps strength where needed while reducing unnecessary mass. Multiple right-side holes allow hobbyists to add ballast for fine CG adjustment. There is also space to fit graphite reinforcements to increase stiffness if desired.

Low drag undertray and rounded edges

Countersunk fixings ensure a flat underside and rounded outer edges reduce the risk of catching trackside debris. Slight lengthwise bend from the machining process is possible but does not impact handling characteristics.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The chassis uses common mounting patterns for vintage RX Series parts, but you should verify hole spacing against your specific model before fitting.
Install small weights in the right-side holes to shift the center of gravity forward or rearward until you achieve the desired turn-in and stability.
Basic hand tools are sufficient: a set of hex drivers, screwdrivers for countersunk screws, and a torque-aware driver for consistent clamping.
