Dust Shields for XB808 Shocks

The XRAY 358062 Felt Shim Set is made to seat on XB808 aluminium shock nuts and act as a simple dust shield. Each of the four felt pieces blocks abrasive particles from reaching the shock seals, helping to reduce internal wear and keep handling consistent. These shims are a low-effort way to protect vintage series shocks between services.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Will these change shock feel or damping?

They are passive barriers and should not affect damping characteristics when fitted correctly, though overly thick or mispositioned shims can bind the shaft.

What is the best way to inspect them?

Remove the shock cap and visually check the felt for compression or contamination after runs; replace any shim that shows wear to maintain protection.

Are they compatible with foam or rubber dust seals?

Yes, they sit beneath most dust seals, but verify there is enough clearance so seals can seat properly without pinching the shim.
