XT8 Rear Shock Absorbers by XRAY

Restore or upgrade the rear suspension on your XRAY XT8 with this complete set of large-bore shock absorbers. The design improves damping effectiveness and supports greater suspension travel than typical stock shocks, and each unit comes preassembled with dark blue hard springs.

Careful Machining for Consistent Action

CNC-machined and hard-anodized using XRAY's robotic hardcoating, the inner bores are finished for very smooth piston movement and reliable shock action. The package includes three piston sizes (1.3mm, 1.4mm and 1.5mm) so you can tune damping precisely for different tracks and tyres.

Robust Build and Protective Seals

Shocks use 3.5mm hardened steel shafts to withstand demanding use. Aluminium caps and upper rubber boots help keep dirt out, while low-profile rubber boots with hard foam protectors guard the lower assembly against grit and impact, extending service life.

Do these come pre-filled with oil?

The shocks are supplied assembled but typically arrive without final oil bleeding; fill and bleed them to your preferred oil weight before running.

Is special tooling needed to fit these to an XT8?

Basic hobby tools are enough for installation, though a shock stand and quality hex drivers make the job quicker and neater.

Can I upgrade the springs for softer damping?

Yes, swapping springs is straightforward and lets you tune rebound and compression independently from piston selection.
