Precision CNC XRAY 361101 Chassis

The XRAY 361101 chassis is CNC machined from 2.0mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium to deliver a stiff, lightweight base for Vintage XB Series cars. Countersunk holes and a smooth finish reduce snag points and present a tidy undertray for aggressive running.

Multi-Flex Chassis Architecture

This chassis adopts XRAY's Multi-Flex concept by linking an aluminium backbone with a composite chassis plate to maintain strength while allowing engineered torsional compliance along the length for predictable handling.

Alloy Behaviour and Maintenance Notes

7075 T6 is a high-strength alloy; as a result the hardcoating process can produce small surface cracks near high-stress cutouts. These are cosmetic and do not affect life expectancy. Slight bending lengthwise is also normal from machining and should not impair performance.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.

Is this compatible with standard Vintage XB mounts?

Should I be worried about the tiny hardcoat cracks?

No, those small marks are a byproduct of the hardcoating process and are cosmetic only. They do not compromise strength or durability.

What setup changes might be needed after fitting?

Expect subtle changes in steering feel and traction. Tune ride height, droop and sway bars to compensate for the different flex characteristics of the metal chassis.
