Durable Swiss 7075 T6 Chassis for Older XB Models

The XRAY 361102 chassis is a precision 2mm aluminium plate made for classic XB configurations. Machined from Swiss 7075 T6, it provides consistent rigidity and improved mass distribution. Countersunk screw locations keep the belly smooth to reduce drag and aid aerodynamic stability.

Precision Cuts for Improved Handling

Selective machining removes material from low-stress regions to lower weight while keeping structural strength where it counts, sharpening handling response. XRAY applies a hardcoat finish to boost wear resistance and increase the lifespan of the part under frequent use.

Notes on Alloy Behaviour

7075 T6 is a stiff alloy that can develop small cracks near openings or edges during the hardcoating process; this is a known effect of surface treatment and does not impair the chassis function. Some slight longitudinal warp may appear from machining and transport, and is generally harmless when mounted correctly.

Is this chassis a direct replacement for stock XB plates?

It is intended to match older XB series mounting arrangements, but confirm the screw pattern and cutouts on your car match the XRAY 361102 before fitting.

How should I inspect the chassis on arrival?

Check mounting holes, countersinks and edges for coating marks or slight bends; light cosmetic cracking is normal and not a performance issue, but look for any deep defects.

Can I race with this chassis straight away?

Yes. Once mounted and checked for even fit, the 2mm hardcoated plate is suitable for competitive use where increased stiffness and durability are required.
