The Yokomo Y2-002SGA is a graphite main chassis plate cut for YD-2S platform cars, provided in a matte graphite finish with an approximate 2.5 mm thickness. As a direct replacement it reduces weight while delivering a stiffer foundation than many factory plastic plates, helping to refine chassis behaviour for drifting applications.

Mounting preserves the YD-2S layout and original hardware positions, so the board installs with the stock screw pattern on supported variants. The changeover requires removing the original main chassis and moving mounts and electronics across; always check servo travel and clearance around the ESC and motor before finalising assembly.

On-track the change in material shifts central flex and can improve turn-in and mid-corner stability. Drivers commonly pair a graphite board with suspension tweaks and tyre selection to control balance, using the chassis plate as one part of a broader setup strategy.
