YD-4 Series Steering Block Overview

This steering block pair is designed specifically for the YD-4 family and is supplied as a left and a right unit. It is intended for use as a replacement part within hobby touring car builds and chassis maintenance.

These blocks are compatible with DP-YD4 and DP-YD4MR chassis layouts and are designed to preserve the original steering geometry of those platforms. When installed they make up part of the front steering linkage, influencing steering response and alignment stability. Always check linkage geometry and ball stud locations when replacing components to maintain handling balance.

Fitting the parts is a straightforward process for experienced hobbyists: remove wheel hubs and the current steering blocks, install the left and right units in their respective positions, and verify free steering movement prior to final torque. Perform a bench-check to ensure symmetric motion and no binding after installation.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
When fitted with correct geometry they help maintain steering responsiveness; any change in feel usually stems from differences in linkage setup or wear in other components.
Yes. Because they preserve the original geometry, they allow you to make consistent tuning adjustments to toe and steering linkage without unexpected changes.
Inspect for play at the ball studs and any signs of wear after initial runs; recheck fastener torque and linkage alignment following a short test session.
