Tune-Ready Chamfered Front Upper A-arm (YD-4)

This chamfered aluminium front upper A-arm is an aftermarket upgrade intended for the YD-4 range of 1/10 electric touring cars. By swapping the stock plastic arm for a machined aluminium component you get improved mount repeatability and a firmer front upper link for tuning.

The set includes left and right arms and is built to accept the original YD-4 upper arm rod ends. On-track, the reduced flex at the upper link provides a clearer steering signal, letting you refine toe and camber changes with less ambiguity.

Specifications

  • Item: Chamfered front upper A-arm (left and right)
  • Material: Aluminum alloy
  • Model Number: Y4-008FUC

Ideal for tuners who want a predictable front end and a stable platform for suspension adjustments; these arms help convert small setup changes into measurable handling differences on YD-4 cars.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The stiffer aluminium reduces compliance at the upper link, which sharpens initial steering response and makes small setup changes like roll center or camber more noticeable during tuning.
Yes. Because the arm alters mounting stiffness slightly, rechecking camber and toe settings after installation ensures you retain the intended handling balance.
By delivering a more consistent front response, the arms can make steering inputs more effective, which may allow tuning adjustments that reduce perceived understeer when combined with shock and roll bar changes.
Start with your baseline setup, refit camber and toe, then run measured laps while changing one parameter at a time. The increased repeatability from the aluminium arms speeds up identifying optimal settings.
