Tuning Spacer for Suspension Geometry

The Yokomo YOKSD300S is an aluminum spacer intended to alter suspension mount positions in RC-scale cars. It acts as a controlled shim between mounts or shock towers and the chassis to shift the mounting point without modifying other components.

As a tuning component, the spacer enables incremental, repeatable adjustments to ride height, camber pivot behavior, and suspension geometry so drivers can dial handling precisely. It is designed solely for model car suspension setups.

To fit the spacer, remove the relevant fastener, place the spacer at the desired location to obtain the required offset, and then refit and torque the fastener to spec. Make small changes and evaluate handling on short test runs to see the effect.

Maintenance requires routine checks for correct placement and any signs of wear or distortion. Replace the spacer if it deforms from impacts. Aluminum helps limit corrosion but inspect surfaces if run in dirty or wet conditions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Shifting the mount with a spacer changes leverage at the suspension pivot, which can alter camber gain and roll center. Small offsets are a useful way to fine-tune understeer and turn-in behavior.
Start with a single spacer and evaluate handling; if more offset is needed, add spacers one at a time. Document each change so you can return to previous settings if required.
Yes, altering the mount position can change the effective shock angle slightly. Check shock travel and clearance after fitting the spacer to ensure nothing binds at full compression.
