Yes, the plate will take different chemistries provided the pack dimensions match the shorter post clearance, including LiPo LCG packs and similar slim formats.

Do I need special screws to fit the plate?

Use the recommended screw sizes for your BD10 chassis and apply a small amount of threadlocker if you race hard. Avoid over-tightening which can crack graphite plates.

How do brass posts change car balance?

Brass posts add concentrated mass near the battery area, which can lower polar inertia and shift weight slightly to improve turn-in and mid-corner grip when dialled correctly.
