Rear stiffener plate for BD10 and BD11

The Yokomo B10-302SA is a steel rear stiffener intended for 1/10-scale touring car chassis. It changes local rear stiffness and balance by varying mounting location and the number of screws fitted. The extra mass of steel compared to the aluminium kit plate also provides ballast for setup tuning.

Installed as a setup option, this stiffener lets you experiment with rear traction, mid-corner rotation, and transient handling. Swap mounting patterns to observe how the car responds and refine grip versus responsiveness trade offs.

Using fewer screws or moving the plate to a more inboard position tends to allow more local flex and increased rotation. Test one change at a time to evaluate on-track effect.
It can, if the altered stiffness produces a chassis balance that suits the track. The plate is a tuning tool; lap time gains depend on matching stiffness to tyres, suspension and driving style.
Yes. The steel mass moves weight rearwards compared with the aluminium kit part, so treat it as a ballast option during setup rather than a simple cosmetic change.
Make one adjustment at a time, run consistent laps, and note changes in rotation, mid corner balance, and exit traction. Rollback if handling becomes unpredictable.
