Front Tower Tuning for BD9

This graphite front shock tower is crafted for BD9 touring cars and adjusts suspension kinematics by lifting the shock pivot 1mm. The modest pivot rise increases the upper stroke the damper can use, helping to avoid bottoming during pronounced roll or when a wheel drops off curbing at corner exit.

The part is presented as a tuning tool: raising the pivot alters leverage enough to add compliance at full compression and stabilise the chassis through high-speed turns. Choose this tower when you want to mitigate severe bottom-outs while keeping your current spring and damper components.

Installation is routine for those used to BD9 chassis work. Swap out the stock tower with your hex driver and reinstall original fasteners; after fitting, verify shock shaft play and readjust droop and ride height as part of your tune cycle.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Expect slightly more compliance at maximum compression, which smooths exit traction and can give a more predictable transition through high-speed corners.
Not immediately; many users keep the same springs and tweak damping if they need to rebalance the chassis feel after the pivot change.
Do a baseline run before fitting, then compare lap times and driver feedback after fitting. Focus on corner exit consistency and whether bottoming incidents have reduced.
