Stability for setup tuning

The Yokomo BD-016FS provides a stiffer front body post connection to reduce unwanted movement on BD7 and BD5 platforms, helping drivers achieve more consistent setup results. It cuts down on body post play so aero and handling responses become more predictable.

Featuring a carbon main post with two aluminum collars, the unit slots into your existing body post stack and uses standard nuts or clips. It does not alter the mounting geometry but improves the interface between shell and chassis for reduced vibration transfer.

To fit, remove the stock front post, feed the BD-016FS through the body shell, set the collars to the required clamp height, and secure with your usual fasteners. As with any change, verify full steering clearance and fine tune body height on-track if needed.

Remark :

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
By reducing body post movement, drivers will notice crisper feedback and more repeatable aero balance, making small suspension or anti-roll changes easier to evaluate during tuning.
The BD-016FS is designed to maintain original mounting geometry; it stiffens the connection rather than alter baseline ride height or mount angles. Expect handling feel to become more consistent rather than radically different.
After fitting, recheck body clearance at full steering lock and perform a short on-track session to confirm body height and aerodynamic balance. Minor body mount height adjustments may be required.
