Rear-side mount for BD-series rear suspension arm pins

This component is a blue anodized aluminium front suspension mount positioned on the rear side of the suspension assembly for Yokomo BD-series touring car chassis. It is supplied as an RC upgrade to change how the rear suspension arm pins locate and to provide a serviceable mounting point when tuning rear geometry.

When fitted the left and right suspension arm pin pitch is 47.1mm. With the standard front suspension mount located at the front position the resulting suspension arm pin angle is about 3.5 degrees. The mount can be used as a direct-fit replacement to retain stock geometry or swapped for different pitch mounts to alter pin angle for handling adjustments.

Installation is mechanical and uses the same mounting locations as the original BD-series arm mounts. Because pin pitch affects roll center and rear toe, adjust gradually and test to judge handling differences.

Will this bolt straight into BD5 without modification?

Yes. The part is a direct replacement for the factory rear-side front suspension mount and uses the same BD5 arm pin mounting points.

Does the 47.1mm pitch significantly alter handling?

Yes. Setting the pin pitch to 47.1mm results in approximately 3.5 degrees pin angle with the standard front mount and will influence roll center and rear traction.

Can I tune pin angle without new arms?

Yes. Swapping to alternate pitch mounts changes the arm pin angle while retaining the original suspension arm.
