Performance-oriented modified motor for setup work

The Yokomo FA-19136 is a modified motor option intended for 1/10 scale RC car tuning, spanning approximately 4.5T through 8.5T choices. It is targeted at drivers who change motor characteristics to tune acceleration and top-speed behavior across different surfaces.

This motor is made to be compatible with the chassis families listed; always verify the motor-mount spacing and shaft dimensions specific to your chassis prior to fitting. Typical installation tasks include checking motor mount alignment, establishing correct pinion-to-spur mesh, and matching the motor with an ESC and battery suited to the expected load. Conduct incremental bench runs and track validation to determine the best turn rating and gearing for your conditions.

Setup guidance: use lower-turn variants to maximise acceleration on tight or twisty circuits, and higher-turn variants for smoother power delivery and reduced demand on the motor at high speed. Pair gearing and ESC settings carefully to reduce overheating and to protect drivetrain items.

Adopt a measured tuning approach: select the right turn rating and gear ratio for the track, and monitor both temperature and drivetrain behaviour during shakedown runs.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Measure and confirm motor mount spacing and shaft fit, ensure secure mounting and correct gear mesh, and confirm the motor clears surrounding components before powering up.
Use appropriate gearing, avoid excessive pinion sizes, run progressive tests with cooling breaks, and use ESC thermal monitoring or an external temperature gun to keep operating temps safe.
Higher-power or lower-turn configurations can increase driveline loads; match gearing and drive components to the motor and watch for increased heat or abnormal wear during initial tests.
No special brand is mandated, but choose an ESC rated for the motor's current draw and your battery, and program throttle and brake profiles to suit the motor's torque and response.
