Tuned progressive springs for better travel control

This Yokomo RP-077 Progressive Ultra Shock Spring pack is designed to provide a progressively increasing spring rate that alters compression and rebound feel throughout the shock stroke. The arrangement gives a softer initial movement with rising stiffness deeper in travel, helping manage larger impacts without asserting fitment to a specific chassis.

Swap procedure is the same as for most coil-over shocks: remove the end cap and spring retainer, replace the factory spring with the progressive unit, then reassemble and verify preload and travel. No specialised gear is needed; adjust incrementally and evaluate handling after each change.

Progressive springs are chosen to soften first response over small bumps while adding support as compression deepens to avoid harsh bottoming. Pair these springs with appropriate damping and test on the track or surface to dial in performance.
