What this graphite brace does for your chassis

This graphite upper brace is an RC-scale accessory intended to accept rear friction-type shocks on suitable 1/12 racing chassis. It gives a fixed, pre-drilled mounting surface so the rear shock package can be held in position while allowing you to adjust suspension behaviour.

Installing the part shifts how loads pass through the rear suspension and can modify roll and pitch reactions in turns. Basic disassembly of the rear shock tower and common hand tools are needed for fitment; the selected mounting hole determines the effective stroke and leverage of the friction shock. There are no electronic components included.

Always confirm compatibility with your chassis layout and check the component for machining residue or sharp edges that might interfere with fitment or the friction interface.

Yes. Different mounting hole choices alter the shock's leverage ratio and available stroke, which in turn affects rear end compliance and how the car responds mid-corner.
Inspect the mating surfaces for wear and keep the area free of dirt and grit. Clean any debris from the friction surface and check fasteners periodically for tightness.
Yes. Because it fixes the shock mounting geometry and changes leverage, expect tweaks to roll center and balance; use it as part of a wider tuning approach to achieve desired handling.
