Longer hex head pin for secure fastening

This aftermarket king pin fits into the Yokomo YRX12/R12/GT knuckle range as a direct replacement for the original pivot. The button head accepts a 1.5mm hex key, which speeds servicing when swapping or adjusting front suspension parts.

The R12-14S features extra overall length compared to the stock item so the fastening nut can be fully engaged even when a spacer sits under the knuckle (spacer R12-14C?420 sold separately). That helps keep the knuckle clamp solid after ride-height or caster adjustments.

Purpose: designed as an affordable tuning and maintenance aid to improve fastening reliability at the knuckle during setup changes rather than changing structural load paths. Install on clean surfaces, use the correct 1.5mm hex driver, and tighten to a firm feel without over-torquing.

The R12-14S is a fastening upgrade and does not alter the knuckle geometry by itself. It gives more thread engagement when spacers are used, but it does not intentionally change steering geometry or alignment.
Use steady hand torque with a 1.5mm hex driver and stop when the joint is snug. Over-tightening can damage threads, so aim for a firm finish and recheck after initial running.
Yes, the additional length ensures the nut stays engaged when you add spacers or alter ride height, which keeps the knuckle clamp consistent during tuning sessions.
