Lightweight anti-roll bar designed for the R12

This wire-style front stabilizer is tailored for the Yokomo R12 front end in the standard tread width layout. Because it is lighter than stamped or solid stock bars, the wire design shifts front mass distribution while keeping suspension geometry intact.

By reducing static load at the front axle, the R12-17C commonly improves initial turn-in and yields a livelier steering feel on low to medium grip surfaces. It is intended as a tuning upgrade to alter understeer/oversteer balance through changes in front roll resistance.

Fitment notes: the unit is produced for the R12 chassis standard tread width and replaces the original front stabilizer assembly. Install with the R12 front stabilizer attachment points and the existing linkage hardware from the stock configuration.

How durable is the wire stabilizer compared with stock bars?

The wire design is lighter and performs well for tuning, but it may flex differently than a solid stamped bar. For normal club and track use it offers reliable service, though repeated heavy impacts can deform a thinner wire bar more easily than a thicker stamped piece.

Will I need extra parts to mount this on an R12 with standard tread width?

No additional parts are normally required. The R12-17C is designed to use the R12 standard front stabilizer mounts and the existing linkage hardware from the chassis.
