Retention Clip for X-shock Piston

The Yokomo R12-37E E-clip is a compact retention component used to lock the piston in Yokomo X-shock assemblies. Ten 1.5mm E-clips are supplied per pack for use where an external circlip is required to keep shafts or pistons in place within shock bodies.

Used during tuning and routine rebuilds, these E-clips secure piston position and do not affect damping or spring characteristics. They are a simple hardware item often changed when servicing shocks or swapping piston types.

Do these E-clips influence shock tuning or performance?

No. These clips only retain the piston or shaft axially. They do not change internal damping characteristics. Ensure the clip is properly seated to avoid any lateral movement that could affect symmetry.

What is the best tool for quick removal when tuning shocks trackside?

A small pair of flat-nose pliers or dedicated external snap-ring pliers work best for fast removal and refit during tuning sessions. Carry spares to replace any that get bent or lost.
