RD-630R performance notes

The RD-630R is a lightweight spur gear hub intended for Yokomo RD/SD/MD series drift chassis, designed to function as an aftermarket tuning accessory. Its larger external diameter enlarges the contact area with the spur gear, helping to improve holdability and reduce rotational vibration during aggressive throttle inputs.

Positioning the spur nearer the gear case than previous hub types reduces bending stress on the top shaft during sudden torque changes, which delivers a quicker, more direct transmission response within RC drivetrain use parameters.

When replacing the series standard spur gear hub types (for example Y4-630A, Y2-630PA, Y2-630RA), note that the set screw fixing position differs; fitting the RD-630R in place of those hubs requires the special aluminum top shaft RD-631. Verify top shaft compatibility before installation and check spur alignment after fitting.
