RP-021 for Motor Tuning

The Yokomo RP-021 is produced as a replacement rotor for the Racing Performer family of scale RC motors. It keeps the same magnet dimensions—12.5mm outer diameter, 5.00mm inner diameter, and 25.3mm magnet length—so it fits applications using that rotor form factor.

This rotor is ideal for refreshing an original Racing Performer motor or for swapping out a damaged rotor with the same specification. During installation, confirm the rotor's inner bore matches your motor shaft and verify that the can and bearings have sufficient clearance to prevent contact before powering the motor.

Designed for RC-scale motor maintenance and tuning only, this part is not suitable for full-size vehicle applications.

Because the RP-021 matches the original Racing Performer dimensions, it is a like-for-like replacement and should not noticeably alter motor characteristics. Use it when you need to restore geometry rather than tune performance.
This rotor preserves original dimensions, making it suitable for baseline tuning or rebuilds. For performance changes you would adjust winding, magnets, or other motor elements rather than this like-for-like rotor.
Yes. Ensure the rotor is oriented correctly relative to the stator to maintain proper polarity and rotation direction; incorrect orientation can cause poor performance or electrical issues.
Basic motor disassembly tools and a clean workspace are sufficient. Use care when removing and refitting the can to avoid bending the shaft or damaging magnets.
