Tuning-focused high-visc silicone for sharper traction control

This Racing Performer Ultra diff oil is an RC-scale gear differential fluid formulated to support heavier drivetrain loads seen with modern LiPo and brushless combinations. The #10000 grade offers a thick silicone base that is intended to stabilise damping so the differential behaves predictably under continuous stress.

On track the oil helps manage torque delivery between wheels, smoothing engagement on throttle and moderating slip through bends. Using a heavier silicone reduces sudden shifts in diff action and can improve traction feel during both short sprints and longer runs.

Service guidance: when replacing differential oil, drain the old fluid completely, clean gears and housing, inspect seals and bearings for wear, then refill to the specified level and reassemble. Perform a few test runs to let the oil settle before full-on tuning sessions.

Tuning note: moving to #10000 increases axle coupling and reduces wheel spin under power, which will affect turn-in and corner exit. Adjust spring rates, damping and driving inputs to find the desired balance.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A thicker oil increases diff lock feel, often sharpening mid-corner stability and reducing inside-wheel spin on exit. That can lead to quicker throttle response but may require softer suspension or altered toe settings.
Yes, because higher diff coupling shifts load transfer. Try softer rear springs or adjusted damping to compensate for increased traction and avoid understeer.
Mixing viscosities is a common tuning technique, but results can be unpredictable. If you do mix, document ratios and test incrementally to dial in handling without surprising changes.
