Will switching to #42.5 change cornering balance much?

It can shift transient roll and weight transfer. If you move from a much lighter or heavier oil, expect noticeable changes; if you move from a nearby grade, the effect will be subtle and easier to fine tune.

How often should I replace shock oil during a season?

Replace oil when performance degrades or after heavy use. Regular inspection for foam or contamination is a good rule; replace sooner if you notice inconsistent damping.

Does oil brand or consistency affect lap times?

Yes; oil viscosity influences suspension response and can affect traction and corner speed. Use consistent testing to see lap time impact when changing oil grade as part of a setup program.
