RP-103BRA tuning spring for YZ-2T/4 front end

The Yokomo RP-103BRA is a dedicated front suspension spring developed for RC racing applications, offering a 1mm longer free length than conventional RP springs to influence preload and early travel behavior.

As a hard-type brown spring, it combines stiffness with controlled response to sharpen initial turn-in and give more consistent feedback on carpet surfaces for buggies and truck classes. Fit this spring when you need firmer front support to reduce dive and keep steering precise through the middle of a corner.

Installation is the same as other coil-over springs: remove the existing front spring, fit the RP-103BRA, set preload to your usual starting point, and then fine-tune shock oil or mounting position to restore ride height and balance. Tuning in small steps will reveal how the extra millimeter changes handling on your track.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Start by checking preload and ride height, then experiment with slightly softer shock oil or a different piston to recover mid-corner compliance while keeping improved turn-in. Make one change at a time and log lap times.
A firmer front spring can reduce required anti-roll bar stiffness and may call for minor toe or caster tweaks to maintain neutral steering balance. Reassess chassis balance after initial spring setup.
Use a control setup and change only the spring first, then try incremental shock or geometry adjustments. Compare consistent runs to judge whether the RP-103BRA yields faster corner exit and better mid-corner stability on carpet.
