DX2 Line for Serious Drifters

The Racing Performer DX2 motors from Yokomo bring Type-R tuning to the drift scene, offered in striking blue plus purple, red and black. Turn counts run from 11.5T to 15.5T to cover different driving tastes, and the 11.5T RPM-D2115RBL was used by Team Yokomo's KAI to secure a win at Malaysia's WTDC.

Where you need more tractable throttle on smooth tile, the 13.5T is a practical pick, while the 15.5T gives a meatier torque feel for more aggressive setups. A reinforced rotor ring protects the magnets against impacts, and each motor comes with a 200mm sensor wire so you can hook into sensored ESCs quickly.

Is the 200mm sensor wire long enough for typical drift cars?

In most layouts the 200mm lead is adequate to reach common side-mounted ESC positions. If you run an unusual layout, plan your wiring route or use an extension to avoid strain on the connector.

Which turn count is best for slippery surfaces?

Lower turn counts like 11.5T favour top-end and higher revs useful for big slides, but for very low-traction surfaces the 13.5T often gives smoother, easier throttle control.

Can the reinforced rotor ring be serviced if damaged?

The reinforced ring reduces damage risk, but if it is compromised you should inspect the rotor and magnets carefully and seek a replacement part or service to avoid further damage to the motor.
