Compact Short Shock Upgrade by Yokomo RS-SSC

Install the Yokomo RS-SSC on your RS1.0 to reduce chassis height and refine handling characteristics. The kit pairs a carbon shock tower with aluminum short shocks to deliver a lighter, stiffer top end.

Smoother Suspension with Reduced Travel

The shock length reduction is about 7mm, lowering the centre of gravity to cut body roll and improve turn-in quality. The hard-coated aluminum cylinder provides consistent stroke feel and smooth damping across varied surfaces.

Plenty of Tuning Choices

Designed to accept modern competition springs, the kit gives room to tune spring rates, preload and damping to match track demands. This makes it easy to chase balance without swapping major components.

Lightweight Carbon Components for Better Response

The carbon shock towers are optimised for short shocks to reduce mass while keeping mounting rigidity. That leads to sharper response and improved feedback; towers are also offered as separate items for customisation.

Supported Chassis

  • RSR-010
  • RSR-020
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Lowering the centre of gravity with the short shocks reduces roll and helps the car feel more planted, which is useful on higher grip surfaces.
The carbon towers are made for the short shock layout and are compatible with the same mounting points used on the RS1.0 platform.
Yes, you can change shock oil viscosity to tune rebound and compression characteristics while using the hard-coated aluminum cylinders.
