Front Shock Mounting Tower for DP-DPM Chassis

The Yokomo SD-017MS SSG front shock tower is an RC component made for Drift Package DPM layouts, acting as the mounting base for the front dampers and integrating with the DP-series front end geometry.

This tower is targeted at DP-DPM and DP-DPMS chassis, replacing the stock front shock mounting plate. The SSG mark is included in the full model name and identifies this variant within Yokomo's drift parts range.

Fitting is simple for seasoned modelers: remove the existing tower, transfer shocks and linkages, then fasten the SD-017MS into the chassis' original locations with existing hardware. Verify alignment and suspension travel after fitting and test for any binding in movement.

On setup: the tower defines the front shock mounting reference, affecting shock tilt, ride height reference, and how the front end reacts during drifts. Use it to test shock lengths, spring rates, and front roll tendencies without changing other chassis components.

Compatibility

  • DP-DPM
  • DP-DPMS
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The SD-017MS is designed as a functional replacement tower for drift setups; assess wear after heavy use and replace if mounting points show deformation.
SSG is the model designation that identifies this specific tower variant; consult product notes for any material or geometry distinctions from other versions.
In most cases you can reuse the chassis' original screws and mounting hardware, but inspect fasteners for wear before reassembly.
