The Yokomo Y2-002ZMGA high traction main chassis uses 2.5mm matte graphite tailored for YD-2R rear motor cars. Its stiffness and engineered flexibility are intended to increase rear tyre bite and provide a more planted feel through turns.

Design features that aid handling

Key cutouts around the rear section let the chassis flex in a controlled manner so roll energy transfers to the rear tyres. This behaviour improves stability during cornering and makes the car easier to modulate on entry and exit.

Battery placement and trade offs

Standard YD-2R layouts favour a horizontal rear battery, but this chassis supports a vertical pack with the optional Y2-118CG graphite holder (sold separately). Moving the battery upright increases rear bias but eliminates the upper deck post location, so plan your setup accordingly.
