Boost Rear Grip on the YD-2SXIII with Yokomo Y2-302S2A

Improve the rear behaviour of your YD-2SXIII by fitting the Yokomo Y2-302S2A gearbox spacer. The design focuses on raising the gearbox to increase rear tyre engagement for smoother drift exits.

Solid Construction, Clean Finish

The primary piece is a 2mm steel plate weighing roughly 17.8g and bearing a Yokomo mark for a factory look. The package also provides an aluminium plate and a deck shim to secure the front gearbox area and stabilise the upper deck.

Flexible Use Across Several Models

While created for the YD-2SXIII, the Y2-302S2A can be repurposed for E series and R series cars when used with extra spacers, offering versatility for varied setup experiments.

Why the Spacer Improves Handling

The spacer adds rear weight and lifts the diff axle, changing the universal shaft angle. That increases the downward force from the axle tip into the tyre tread, which boosts traction and makes the car more predictable under power.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
It produces a subtle but notable change to rear behaviour. Expect improved rear bite; balance changes are best fine tuned with small suspension and diff adjustments.
No extra parts are required for basic fitment. If you run aftermarket driveshafts or altered upper decks, double check clearances and consider matching spacers accordingly.
Cornering approach may feel different due to increased rear traction. You might be able to carry more throttle through turns, but test progressively to avoid overdriving the rear.
The steel plate has a finished surface, but like all metal parts it benefits from occasional cleaning and light lubrication around fasteners if used in damp environments.
