Low-profile ball connector for steering blocks

This connector is an RC-scale ball joint used to secure a king pin to an aluminium steering block with an ISO 3mm screw. The button head form lowers the ball stud profile to reduce interference with nearby steering and suspension hardware on touring and on-road cars.

Fit relies on the steering block screw standard and hole layout; the part is intended for blocks that accept an ISO 3mm screw thread. Ensure the steering block will take a button head screw and that ball seat geometry lines up with your linkage prior to installation.

For installation: use the specified ISO 3mm screw, tighten the ball stud to the block, and confirm the joint articulates freely without excess play. Re-inspect ball-seat contact and re-torque after initial running; swap the ball if you detect surface wear or looseness.

From a tuning perspective, this low-profile ball joint can help reduce linkage bind and deliver steadier steering response when used with properly shimmed geometry and secure king pin assemblies.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The reduced profile helps lower interference and can reduce linkage bind, which improves steering consistency when paired with correct shimming and tight king pins.
After installation, move the steering by hand to confirm smooth articulation and no excessive play; run the car briefly, then re-torque and re-check the ball seat contact.
